Pole Dancing!!!

soooooo, I go to Pole Dancing classes, part of my 'after separation therapy' lol

and I love it!!!

The moment I walked into the PolerevolutioNZ studio I knew it was the place for me. Red walls, soft lighting, incense, Buddha's music, candles, flowers, vintage clocks - a real zen like atmosphere and Amy, our lovely and very talented tutor!!

The first class was hilarious, I know you are meant to slide down the pole but not in the way we all did, collapsing to the floor in fits of laughter!!! And believe me, nothing sexy about it!!! I came away from that class hooked but oh dear the next day, the pain, the agony, unused muscles screaming, especially under my rib cage!!!

The next week was slightly better, but again the next day, the pain, different unused muscles and the bruising, massive inner thigh bruising!!! Sounds terrible really but its not, its fantastic, a brutal but amazing work out.

Amy starts us with a series of Pilates type stretches to warm and loosen us, we also end with more stretches. Our pole routine has a bit more added to it each week, more and more different moves.

In 5 weeks I have already become so much more flexible and supple, can 'float' around the pole and can stay on it!!! Still nothing graceful about what I am doing but I'm getting there!!!

The most important thing is I am working out, enjoying it and happier with my body than I have been for a long time!!

This is not me, but one day soon I hope to be able to do that!!!

That is Amy our tutor and owner of PolerevolutioNZ . Trust me, she is incredible!!!

One of my near future goals is to have a pole installed at home!!!
If you are looking for an amazing work out that tones and limbers your entire body and one that is really lots of fun at the same time then I can highly recommend pole dancing!!!
A bit different from my usual vintage type posts!!!
Rainy Sunday here today, Babes is coming over and we are all going to tuck up, watch a movie and eat snacks!!!
Take care, back soon

Winter Days

We are having the most glorious winter, day after day of heavy white frost followed by clear blue skies and sunny days . . . no winters blues here!!

On the first frosty morning the Princess and I went out in our dressing gowns and slippers. She was enthralled, not having seen frost like this before. Our bird bath had a solid layer of ice across it, so pretty as frozen into were flowers she had floated a few days prior.

We went across the road to our village green where she ran crunching on the icy grass before we went back inside for hot chocolates and cups of tea!

She's so loving and thoughtful at the moment, look what I found neatly folded up on the toilet seat for me . . . my own special paper - lol

We are just cruising along with our life, taking one day at a time. Babes and I are getting on very well, united in making this as easy as possible for the Princess. She is happiest when she sees him daily so we go with that. It has got easier for me as a lot of that awful raw pain has gone, it doesn't hit me so badly anymore.

I hold on to a tiny glimmer of hope that our family maybe able to reunite although we are a long way from that. I am also working on the possibility it won't so am putting things in place to set up a future for just the Princess and I, and you know what, its not so bad either! Not what I want, but not bad either!

Keeping busy with my little Internet business and pole dancing. I'll post pole dancing next time because its worthy of a post!!!

Not creating, my mind isn't there, but fingers are starting to feel a bit twitchy which means I am starting to have creative urges!!

I have 365 posts in my Google Reader to catch up on. Forgive me if I don't comment when visiting you!!!

Again, thanks so much for the support, your comments do brighten my day!

Sooooooooo........

its been a while . . . .

I just haven't felt like blogging, in case you hadn't noticed!!!

such a lot going on, not going to cover it all in one post, would wear my fingers out!!!

but, back tracking to Mothers Day, and wishing all the Mummy's out there a very belated Mothers Day!!!

my Mothers Day was . . . unusual to say the least!!!!

I got breakfast in bed, Babes (yes that would be my estranged husband), thoughtfully had taken the Princess out to shop for me. He came in on Sunday morning and together they prepared my breakfast tray, he even put flowers in a vase on it (it was weird!).

But the Princess was so excited so I had to go along with it even though I wanted to throw up!!!

She had chosen this wonderful sparkly card and had written in it herself

and this earring and ring set (does match, but camera hasn't picked up the colour well). She chose it, he paid!!! She was beside herself, I had to put it all on then and there and she was busy chattering away how that was from her but the breakfast tray and flowers were from Daddy!!!

So of course I ended up crying... told her it was tears of happiness, which was partially true because of her excitement!!

The day got better though, I picked my Mum up from her flight, cooked a family dinner for her and family members, family, nice food, a little wine, a good ending!

Life is a roller coaster, up and down, good and bad, more good than bad.

I am keeping busy, have joined a few things, like learning to 'Pole Dance' . ..

and with that I will leave you until next time

soon . . .

Cleansing - Part One

I can't thank you enough for the wonderful comments that are being left for me. Honesty I don't know where this strength is coming from except that I know I have to do my very best to minimise the long term impact of this for the Princess. I can tell you its hard!!!

Heather, Natasha, Connie, I really want to slap him, in fact I would like to do much worse!!!

Some of you wondered where the third party was in all this, well the STUPID thing is she lives in town that is approx 530 km from Auckland, a 5 to 6 hour drive. She is a previously married woman with a 7 year old daughter. Says a lot doesn't it!

Anyway, enough of that and them!!!!

I had a great day yesterday, completely changed around the front room (grown up room) that Babes used as an office. It had a big desk and a rather dark looking sofa in it which has now gone - along with him!!!

I washed the walls down, washed the curtains, cleaned the windows, vacuumed the floor and fluffed!!! Also wiped the window frames and door frame with lemon juice and flicked water through the room to dispel negative energies.

It is now light and airy, clutter free and smells divine from the rose oil I have been burning in there.

First photo is what you see when you walk in through the front door,

and then looking slightly to the right,

and then turning right around and looking back to the front of the house.

Do you love my piano? It is very old, it belonged to my Granny.

I am hoping that this week I will be able to spray the cane arm chairs white and sew new covers for the cushions. Also not happy with the piano stool, I can't paint it as my Mum would kill me (it is hers!), maybe I will sew a cover for it.

I am slowly moving through the house, cleaning, decluttering and cleansing as I go.

Went back to work today, it was nice to see my work colleagues again and catch up with everything.

Tomorrow, I have work in the morning, a doctors appointment and then a few hours before the Princess needs to be picked up from school, just enough time to start fluffing in the next room on the list which is my bedroom!

Sleep tight!

A Weird Weekend

Well that would have to have been one of weirdest weekends of my life!

I helped Babes move all day Saturday, loaded up what he was taking from here and unloaded in the pouring rain carrying furniture up 3 flights of stairs to his apartment.

I helped him place furniture, cleaned a few things, unpacked crockery and get this . . .

I even helped him build the beds and then make them up! So weird, us standing on each side of his bed smoothing sheets down and fluffing up the duvet!!! A bed that in all likelihood I will never sleep in but the third party will!!!

Anyway, I have my reasons for being so obliging!

On the outside I was all calm and happy, for the Princess's sake mostly and on the inside I was falling apart.

I left the Princess to spend the first night in the apartment with her Daddy and I took off to my brothers home for the night where my lovely sister in law cooked a roast dinner and we sat until 1.30am drinking a lot of wine and talking!

She then tucked me in with hot water bottles, cooked poached eggs for breakfast yesterday and I came away feeling like my soul had been soothed somewhat!

Today I am going to go shopping for food and give my house a thorough clean and rearrange furniture to fill in the missing gaps!

I am going to wipe lemon juice around my door and window frames and flick water through all the rooms to cleanse away negative energies.

I'll leave you with a photo of a generous supply goodies I won from the lovely Linda of Many Things to Do!

Have a good day!

Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

Yesterday, once I got my front door open, after locking myself out and having to climb a tall borrowed ladder to break into my very own home I unpacked my spoils from the local Op Shop, this Royal Doulton "the Coppice" dinner set, loads and loads of pieces, 56 in fact.

And look at this gorgeous Shabby Chic print, its so beautiful, would love to keep it but I am going to go for a different decor once Babes moves his stuff out.

The Princess and I went for a long walk around a nearby pond yesterday after school and then stopped at Dunkin Donuts for a late afternoon tea treat.

I was really wound up last night, the diabolical financial situation getting to me, once Babes arrived for his nightly visit and the Princess was asleep, I let rip, hissed and spat etc etc. Stress over boiled!

Today I am a bit weepy again, Babes picked me up and we went and looked at the apartment he is renting and moving into tomorrow.

Its really hard to do, but this separation is very amicable (except when I hiss and spit!), we are both determined and committed to remaining friends for the sake of the Princess.

Tomorrow will be another really hard day as I am helping Babes move into the apartment. Very lucky really isn't he!!!

Don't worry, a lot of the time I want to knock his head off, but am controlling the urges!!!

I'm off to pick up the Princess very soon, go for another walk and tonight we are going to snuggle in and watch NZ's Top Model and Project Runway, the Princess will drink lemonade from a wine glass and me, well . . . I will drink wine . . . from a wine glass!

I am also loading the 'spoils' onto Trade Me tonight.

That's it for me, have a good day

Roses are Red

While the Princess and I were creating our 'Happy Diaries' I also covered this note book which I am using to write down my goals.

The background paper is scrapbook paper, the lady on the swing (I love swinging!) was cut out from a card, that is to remind me to reach for the stars and the "Roses are Red" was a song title I cut from sheet music and that is to remind me to take the time to "smell the roses" and also that my life will become rosy again!

I need to keep that in focus, this morning I woke up feeling very weepy, the intensity of my grief was quite overwhelming. Grief is such a physical pain as well as an emotional pain.

I pulled myself together and sent a long venting email to WINZ, our social welfare department, who I am now relying on for my income as Babes decision to follow "true love" has put both of us into a permanent dire financial situation.

There we are, I wasn't going to use my blog to vent but right now just need the outlet and all your support makes it so much better!

To keep that positive focus going after a rocky start to the day I wrote a list of 'to do's in my diary. All yukky things so as a consolation prize I took a little walk to the OP Shop(thrift shop) and that I will show you the results of tomorrow!

Oh and in my haste to get to the Op Shop I locked myself out of my house and had to borrow the ladder from a painter next door and climb to the second level of the house where fortunately I had a left a door open!

All in a mornings work!

Off now to wash vintage china and set up a photo shoot!

Have a good day!
