Happy April

I'm only 4 days late with that!

a big month here at the castle:

• midterm tests,ü
• university assignments due,
• school holiday fun with the Princess,
• a movie to go to,
• a trip to Kaikohe for Easter,
• a concert to go to,
• an art exhibition to go to,
• heaps of crap to sell,
• pain drugs to wean myself off,
• a writing project to resurrect,
• and exercise this broken down body!

Some people that visit the castle are taking advantage of the new chalkboard!

I might have to hide the chalk!

DIY Chalkboard

Here's the project I did on Saturday rather than clean the Castle!

Ages ago I bought an ugly old print with the intention of re-purposing it into a chalkboard.  I finally got to work on it this Saturday, taking it apart, sanding it,

and painting it black. 

I have the perfect bare wall for it, above my kitchen sink.

Pretty cute I think!

Saturday afternoon at The Castle

Dishes on the bench (last nights),

rubbish that needs emptying,

bestest most expensive hardened paintbrush soaking in hot water and vinegar, in the kitchen sink,

laundry waiting to be folded,

 the Princess's unmade bed,

my unmade bed with the Princess in it,

cos I am busy!

Making the bed

My Cowboy man is very helpful when he stays over,

he makes the bed,

he draws a line down the middle,

and makes his side,

only,

as clearly seen here by my unmade side!

This morning he must have been feeling peace and goodwill towards...

me, 

because he made both sides!
