I'm Spoiled!

The Cowboy spoils me in so many ways,

one of which is laying my clothes out for me in the morning.

I'm such a lucky girl!

T is for Tea

If you know me really well, you will know of my addiction for tea. Just tea, plain old gumboot tea. No flavours or scents, just tea!

When the Cowboy and I got together he was a low end tea drinker, a 30 tea bag box purchase tea drinker. This stressed me, if my tea supply gets down to 30 I am running out!

He embraced tea drinking (as well as embracing me ;-) ) and graduated to being a middle of the road tea drinker and became a 100 tea bag box purchase tea drinker.

57 weeks later he is now a big boy tea drinker and is a 200 tea bag box purchase tea drinker .

It's a beautiful thing!

A Poem for Me

MY MUM

Shes cuter than a little elf,
and is sweeter than sugar its self.

Shes my honey pie,
with a twinkle in her eye.

She would hate to eat a pea,
but definitely likes tea.

Shes scared of birds,
and dislike herds.

She loves the color black,
and has broken ribs in her back.

She also likes red,
and her big bed.

She always reads a book,
and is a good cook.

She picks flowers for her guests,
when they come to rest.

She has a antique collection,
and votes for John Key at a election.

She plants things,
and wears lots of rings.

She likes to dance,
and wants to go to France.

She eats nuts,
and is a bit of a clutz.

I love my mum,
and shes a lot of fun.

She acted it out to the Cowboy and I last night, complete with stage setting and props!

Gorgeous!

Sunday Salmon

The Cowboy and I have fish every Sunday. He cooks it, I eat it! Good deal I say!'

This Sunday we had salmon steak. He seasoned it with salt, pepper and lemon juice, wrapped it in foil and baked it in the oven. I did the stir fry vegetables.

Was divine with divine wine!

My Closet

I cleaned it out yesterday and reorganised it. I wish I had taken before photos because it was a disgraceful mess.

What I don't understand is why I still have nothing to wear.

Oh and I have noticed a distinct lack of colour in my clothing!

The Princess and the Wasband

Fathers Day was on Sunday and the Wasband's birthday today so the Princess and I combined them both into a Sunday morning breakfast for him.  The Princess took it upon herself to be in charge of the details and set the 'present' table the night before.

She's all about the details when it comes to party decor, wonder where she got that from! lol

She set the breakfast table by herself, love the flowers (they are half dead but she wanted to keep them on the table for the pretty!), the chair with the pillow was the special chair for Daddy!

Love how she is picking up on things I do and doing them herself, so cute!

Frugal Finds

It's slim pickings in our OP shops these days! Not so long ago I could go into an OP shop and come away with armfuls of treasures, not anymore!

Probably a good thing really because I am supposed to be off loading treasures, not accumulating more of them!  These days I only visit OP shops to drop off stuff that I am donating ;-)

The other day when I was dropping stuff off to my favorite Sally Army shop that I do NOT visit at least once a week on the way to pick the Princess up from school, I did do a little browsing  because I needed to get  the Cowboy an oven mitt for his house, which I did (50 cent bargain), and while browsing I happened across a few treasures, that happened their way into my car.

Like this cool white colander, because I NEEDED a third colander, a girl can never have too many colanders, and it was a $4 bargain,

and this Johnson Brothers blue dessert bowl which I NEEDED because, well it was a $2 bargain,

and this sterling silver sugar bowl which I NEEDED  because, well its sterling silver and also a $2 bargain!

Such bargains, such frugal spending for my NEEDS!

Spring

freesias from the Castle gardens

It's the first day of spring in New Zealand. The flowers, blossoms and the freshness in the air gives me a feeling of being instantly energised and motivated.

On the first day of Spring 2012, the Princess and I have been out bike riding and in making Fathers Day and birthday cards and presents for the Wasband.

Happy Spring Days!
